Description
I was fortunate to be able to spend the spring semester of my junior year studying abroad in Australia. I participated in a SIT program all about sustainability and environmental action. The program consisted of academic class work, experiential learning, and travel along the east coast of Australia and Tasmania. At the end of the program there also was the opportunity to do a one month internship with an organization pursuing environmentally related goals which I greatly appreciated. From surfing at the famed point break of Byron Bay, to hiking in the tall forests of the Florentine, to spending a week learning from Aboriginal elders in the Northern Rivers of NSW, there is so much that I learned and experienced. My internship experience and the work I did is detailed more here.
