Description
I leveraged my extensive near shore experience on both sail and motor boats to be selected to join the crew of two to help deliver this 46ft sailboat from the Bahamas to Connecticut. Our route took us relatively far offshore and we completed the voyage after about 7 days at sea. Ludwig the captain was very experienced and knowledgeable, and I learned so much about off-shore sailing and the systems on board. We navigated through lightning squalls, were re-routed by an aircraft carrier doing live fire drills, and encountered some large(for me) following seas.
