Description
I got into free diving and spearfishing during the summer of 2016 as an extension of scuba diving. There is something special about diving down without a tank and coming up with dinner! I built this speargun out of a laminated mahogany blank that I then routed to fit the trigger mechanism and spear shaft. Previously I had only used pole spears for spearfishing, and when I built this speargun, I oversized it a bit from what would have been ideal for the low viz and rocky conditions where I usually dive. However, it still does work great and if I ever get into more blue-water spearfishing, this speargun will serve me perfectly.
